Program Itinerary of the day trip to Ourika Valley:
With its numerous waterfalls, the Ourika Valley is one of Morocco’s most beautiful valleys, and it can be reached on this 1-day journey from Marrakech. Approximately 30 kilometers south of Marrakech, and roughly an hour’s drive from Marrakech.
We will go through the Haouz plain and sinking areas along the Ourika river, where water is abundant all year long, on our route to the high Atlas.
During our day trip to ourika valley, we will visit a Berber family who will open their home to us so we may learn about the Berber way of life and investigate their customs and regional culture. Additionally, we will make numerous photo stops at the Berber settlements that are situated in the High Atlas Mountains’ foothills.
As we travel farther up the valley, we will stop at an Argan oil cooperative run by local women. Continue on to the town of Setti Fatma at the end of the road, which is around 1500 meters above sea level, where you will get the chance to see one of the most picturesque settlements in all of Setti Fatma.
There, we will find many Setti Fatma cascades. After a bit of hiking, we will return to the hamlet where we will have a delicious traditional lunch in a restaurant that is close to the river.
Finally, Morocco Tours Operator offers you a variety of cars and cozy minivans with knowledgeable drivers and guides to enjoy the distinctive qualities and natural beauty of this area.
