The tour description or general itinerary is provided below. Depending on your arrival time, we will start our journey to Marrakech, well known as the “red city,” on the first day. The following day, we will continue our journey via the High Atlas Mountains, Ait Benhaddou, and Ouarzazate. After that, we’ll spend the night at Boumalne Dades. The third day will be spent in Merzouga’s desert. We’ll go there in the evening, ride a camel, and spend the night in a Berber camp.
The following day is dedicated to a trip to the desert where participants will learn about it and interact with Berber nomads who still live in traditional tents. You will visit Marrakech on a discovery tour on the fifth and sixth days. On the last day, we’ll head straight to Agadir, where the trip will come to an end.
Day 1: Agadir to Marrakech:
Beginning in Agadir, our 7-day desert trip of Morocco will continue. We will pick you up from the airport or your Agadir hotel and take you on a half-day tour to Marrakech. Marrakech, the former imperial capital of Morocco, is a thriving commercial center with palaces, gardens, and mosques. We’ll stay there the night after a tough day.
Day 2: Marrakech to Boumalne:
On the second day of your seven-day trip through the desert from Agadir, we will pick you up from your accommodation and take you to the next location. From Marrakech to the Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, we’ll take the Tizi Ntichka pass. At the renowned 2260 meter (6,867 ft.) peak, we’ll pause to take in the stunning panoramic view. Then, we’ll take a trip to the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a well-known Moroccan fortified village (Ksar) that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A classic Ait Benhaddou eatery will serve lunch.
After that, we’ll take a trip to Ouarzazate where we’ll see the Kasbah of Taourirte and the Atlas & CLA Studios, where several producers have worked on numerous films and movies. Ouarzazate is known as “Africa’s Hollywood” as a result.
In the late afternoon, we travel to Boumalne Dades via the Valley of the Roses, famous for its enormous rose crop, which is used to make perfume. Rosewater and cosmetics are also accessible. Spending the night in Dades.
Day 3: Boumalne to Merzouga:
You leave your lodging after an early breakfast in order to travel to Merzouga in the Sahara Desert, where you will take part in another adventure. First, we’ll proceed down the Thousand Kasbahs Road, passing through a number of Berber communities. The Todgha Gorges, a collection of limestone cliffs in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains, will be our destination.
Then we’ll carry on with our drive and make a stop in Tinejdad, a Berber settlement famous for its palm trees, to look around. Then we’ll go to Jorf to see the historic irrigation system.
Our next destination will be Erfoud. It is a location in southern Morocco where you can see the Date Market and the fossil workers. At the conclusion of the day, we will reach the desert of Merzouga, where we will check into your accommodations.
Day 4: Merzouga tour:
The Merzouga desert discovery excursion is part of our 7-day trip from Agadir and is the pinnacle of all of our Moroccan itineraries. Our driver will first take you to the Qatari-owned Morocco National 4X4 Auto Museum. The Gnaoua people live in Khamlia, a little settlement about 6 kilometers from Merzouga. There, you can hear their wonderful music, which is played on castanets and drums. We’ll next drive you to one of the ancient MINES in Mifis so you can see where the French obtained their salt and kohl during their colonization of Morocco.
Then, to help you get to know one of the nomadic Berber tent families better, we’ll take you there. Then, we’ll proceed to Srij Lake, a place where flamingos travel and where camels are housed.
In the afternoon, we’ll go to Hassi Labied’s oasis, a tiny oasis where you can see how they use tunnels to water their crops using wells. Last but not least, we’ll lead you on a camel ride that starts close to the sand dunes and concludes where our team of camel experts is waiting for you. They’ll lead you over Erg Chebbi’s sand dunes so you can see the setting sun. You’ll spend the night nearby in a Berber camp.
Day 5: Merzouga to Marrakech:
On the fifth day of our seven-day desert vacation from Agadir, we will head back to Ouarzazate. After breakfast in the morning, we’ll bring the camels back to where we started. We’ll drive to Rissani and make a pit stop to check out the souk and the local crafts.
Later, on our way to Agdez from Ouarzazate, we go through the Draa Valley. After that, we’ll go via Morocco’s red city of Marrakech, which is located in the High Atlas Mountains. There will be some free time for you. Dinner and breakfast are included in our stay in Marrakech.
Day 6: Marrakech tour:
We’ll learn about Marrakech today, the second-oldest imperial city in the world and a well-known commercial and tourist destination. The renowned Jardin Majorelle, the Bahia Palace, and the Saadian tombs are all stops on your tour. With its 66-meter-high tower, the Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakech is a must-see attraction. The main area of the medina, Jemaa El Fna Plaza, comes alive in the late afternoon with local storytellers, singers, performers, and snake charmers, as well as the aroma of delicious food being cooked over hot coals. We’ll spend the night at the same hotel.
Day 7: Marrakech to Agadir:
Our seven-day desert adventure from Agadir comes to a close today. From Marrakech to Agadir, we’ll drive you, and we’ll drop you off at the airport or your hotel.
